The Jacquez Ranch was home steaded in 1884 by Jose Salome Jacquez. Our family have been ranchers and valued members of New Mexico and San Juan County for over a century. We began by raising sheep because of our vast grazing land in the high country of southern Colorado and northern New Mexico.Over the years we have slowly transitioned our operation to cattle. In the early 60's our ranch was almost lost with the death of our Father and Grandfather, Fred Jacquez.

It was a struggle for our Mother and Grandmother, Genevieve Jacquez , to raise a family of seven children and to keep the ranch running but through her hard work and perseverance she was able to. Genevieve Jacquez was a very strong and wise woman with a passion for ranching. With her help in the last decade we have proudly raised quality cattle that willcompete in any show ring today. Maine-Anjou cattle became our coice for breeding stock in the late 90's with the purchase of our first group of show cattle. Since then we have added cattle from prominent cattle operations across the county and have raised some of the best in the area. We have had numerous successes at jackpots, county fairs, state fairs, and National shows across the country. Our most recent win was at the 2008 Arizona National Feeder Steer Show where we received the Reserve Champion Pen of Three Maine-Anjou steers banner.

Jacquez Cattle Co. strives to continue being honest, trustworthy, proud of whom we are and what we stand for. These values, given to us by our forefathers, guide us in our goal of raising functional cattle with a show ring look. We would like to thank all of our past exhibitors for their support and wish them good luck with all their future endevors. Just remember hard work and dedication can make any project a success.
